Network Interface Module (NIM)
A location based information processing node capable of controlling many thousands of devices
The NIM is designed to work as part of a company network and is responsible for maintaining the link between the access control devices and the database. It requires a static IP address to allow the bridges to communicate with it. The NIM can be physically located any distance from the bridges so long as they are accessible on the network to each other.
- Controls readers for an entire location, or multiple locations
- Maintains the readers databases
- Communicates with the ATRACS server
- Allows up to 64 IP Bridge connections
- Runs on Windows 2000 OEM/Pro / XP
- Is a 19 inch rack mount 1U unit or a smaller wall mount unit.
