Ethernet Bridge
Control and monitor local and remote sites over a network
The Borer CAN Ethernet Bridge allows companies and organisations to use their existing network infrastructure to connect access controlled doors and monitored alarms within the Borer ATRACS management system. The bridge provides a link from the Local Area Network (LAN) to the Controller Area Network (CAN) on to which access control readers and related devices are connected. By utilizing the LAN infrastructure, installation time and maintenance effort are significantly reduced.
Importantly, CAN and IP are not polling networks and only send information on demand ensuring network traffic is kept to a minimum. Being a native IP device allows the bridge to be installed over subnets at remote sites, providing remote monitoring and centralised data processing. Each CAN Ethernet Bridge can host up to 60 access devices/doors. |
